Getting to Know Us
Do the Right Thing
CCCS is very proud of Bret Frederick who was honored by the Cape Coral Police Department for Doing the Right Thing. Bret saved his baby sister when she fell in the water. This is another example of how the positive behaviors we teach in the STRIVE Character Education Program promote "helping others"!
Chuck E. Cheese
Our PTO organized a visit from Chuck E. Cheese himself who reminded us all to join him for a fun family evening at his store location in Ft. Myers. Many students from all grade levels spent hours playing games and eating supper with other CCCS families. As always, we thank our PTO for organizing a SUPER family evening!
PIG KISSING!
Dr. Nauss and her Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Rush had to kiss a pig after raising the most money in a fundraising challenge held at CCCS. In order to support the 8th Grade students who will be attending the STRIVE trip to Washington D.C. in May, our students put their pennies and more in to the labeled container of the person they MOST wanted to see kiss a pig. The two people with the most money in their container were awarded the honor of puckering up! This fundraiser raised over $1500 and was a great deal of fun, even for "Pebbles" the pig who has been donated to a good home right here in Cape Coral!
Judge Visit
CCCS was proud to have Judge Gagliardi visit our school to talk to students about STRIVE behaviors. Judge Gagliardi sat on a panel with our Student Government and answered questions posed by our students in grades 3-8 in a Town Hall Meeting style. Her Honor's visit and tour was enjoyed by all faculty and students.
Kindergarten Olympics
Students in Kindergarten were excited to celebrate the Winter Olympics at CCCS with fun team events! Parent volunteers assisted with the relay competitions as students enjoyed doing their best with the Frong Jumping, Stick Pony, and Backwards Roller Seat Races!
